Lash Lift and Tint

What is it?

A lash lift simply alters the shape and color of your natural lashes. The lash lift mimics the effect of an eyelash curler. It makes your lashes bend upwards, leaving them looking longer, and your eyes more open and bright. Tinting the lashes is similar to applying mascara. It makes your eyelashes look darker, thicker, and fuller.

How does it work?

After washing and drying your lashes, the lash artist uses an adhesive similar to lash glue to attach silicone shields to your eyelids. Then your lashes are combed up and glued to the pad to hold their shape, and the perming solution—which softens the hair so the lashes can hold the shape—is applied. The solution stays on your lashes for anywhere from six to 12 minutes, depending on how well your lashes hold a curl. Then a setting lotion is put on your lashes. This hardens your lashes back up so the shape is locked in.
An eyelash tint consists of adding a special dye to your eyelashes, giving you weeks of dark, full lashes without the assistance of mascara. The technician applies the dye to your lashes while you keep your eyes closed for about 10 minutes.

How to prepare (pre-treatment)

Come with clean eyes, no make-up. If you wear contact lenses, you will need to remove these before the treatment.

Will the lash lift damage my eyelashes?

No. The chemical procedure used in the Lash Lift is safe for and gentle on your natural lashes. You may experience some redness around the eye immediately after the process, however this will be from the pressure of the pads and should disappear within a few minutes.

Aftercare/ Post treatment instructions

Lashes must be kept dry and makeup free for 24 hours and avoid any cream or lotion that is oil-based. The first 24 hours after receiving your Lash Lift are the most important for effectiveness.

How long does it last?

Because the Lash Lift uses your natural lashes, this amazing treatment will last up to 6-8 weeks. Even better, there is no need for any maintenance appointment in between treatments! As with every beauty treatment, results can vary from person to person, and some activities, including swimming for example, can cause the bonds in the lashes to prematurely weaken.

Possible side effects

Lash Lift should NOT be performed if a person has a history of eye allergies, eye infections, styes, sensitive eyes, watery eyes, or chronic dry eye. Side effects from the solution can include blisters, rash, redness, dry eye, watery eyes, inflammation, and more brittle lash hair.
