PicoSure™ Pigmentation Removal

What is PicoSure™ Pigmentation Removal Treatment?

PicoSure™ Pigmentation Treatment is an advanced treatment designed to target and reduce the appearance of unwanted pigmentation, sun spots, age spots, freckles, and uneven skin tone. Using ultra-short picosecond pulses of energy, PicoSure™ precisely targets excess pigment while minimizing heat to the surrounding skin. The targeted pigment is broken down into smaller particles, allowing your body to naturally clear it over time and revealing a clearer, more even-looking complexion. PicoSure™ offers a precise, advanced approach to pigmentation concerns with minimal downtime, helping your skin look clearer, brighter, and more even-toned.

Am I a Good Candidate for PicoSure™ Pigmentation Removal Treatment?

PicoSure™ Pigmentation Treatment may be a great option if you’re looking to improve the appearance of sun spots, age spots, freckles, and other unwanted pigmentation or uneven skin tone. The treatment is customized to your individual skin type, pigmentation, and treatment goals. During your consultation, we’ll assess your skin and determine whether PicoSure™ is the right option for you. Treatment may need to be postponed if you have recent tanning or significant sun exposure, an active skin condition or infection in the treatment area, or are taking certain photosensitizing medications. Strict sun protection throughout your treatment journey is essential for the best possible results.

How to Prepare for your PicoSure™ PigmentationTreatment

Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning for at least 2 weeks before treatment, and arrive with clean skin free of makeup, creams, and oils. Avoid retinoids/Retin-A®, AHAs, BHAs, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and other irritating or exfoliating products as directed by your practitioner. Avoid waxing, chemical peels, and other aggressive treatments before your appointment, and let us know about any medications, skincare products, or recent treatments.

What to Expect After Treatment and Aftercare

Your skin may appear slightly pink, warm, or sensitive immediately after treatment. Pigmented areas may temporarily darken before gradually fading as your body naturally clears the treated pigment. Keep your skin hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure and excessive heat, and apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily. Avoid retinoids/Retin-A®, AHAs, BHAs, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, vitamin C, and other active or exfoliating products until your skin has fully settled. Follow any personalized aftercare instructions provided by your practitioner.

How Many Sessions are Required?

The number of sessions varies depending on the type and depth of pigmentation. Most patients see significant improvement in 2 to 4 sessions, spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart. Some stubborn pigmentation may require additional treatments for optimal results.
